CA. Kanthilal Salecha (Kanti Jain) specializes in Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, Statutory Compliance & Audit and related areas. He has more than 15 years post-qualification experience in the above domain.
He completed his graduation from M.E.S. College, Bangalore in 1999 and joined Raghuraman, Chythanya, Easwar& Co., Chartered Accountants (R.C.E & Co.,) as an article. Being the senior most article, he got an opportunity to serve & head audit of various clients including Hindustan Lever Limited (HLL), Karnataka Bank including forex transaction (Concurrent audit), General Electricals (GE), MSIL, Wipro (Bulk return filing) etc.
After 3 years of professional training he became a core team Member of N.Balaji& Associates, Chartered Accountants along with CA.Balaji&CA.Sachin. As a core member he was part of various assignment including Micro Lab (internal audit), Bal Pharma, General Motors (Custom compliance), etc. The efforts of the entire team were recognized and the entire team joined Singhvi, Dev &Unni, Chartered Accountants (SDU) in 2005. During his stay of more than 5 years with SDU, he served in various capacities and played dynamic role ranging from a learner, team member, teacher & leader and finally retired as a Senior Manager in Direct Tax Division. He handled anything & everything related to direct taxes. His scope of work included:
• Planning the allocation of various individual returns, reviewing & finalizing the same;
• Planning the allocation of various tax audits u/s 44AB, reviewing & finalizing the same;
• Reviewing the tax audit of corporate client & finalizing the same with the concerned partners; Direct client interaction & co-ordination;
• Representation at various level including scrutiny representation to assessing officer, CIT (appeals) & the Appellate Tribunal;
• Planning, executing & finalization of various Transfer Pricing assignments;
• Planning, executing & finalization of various Certification work including certificate for education loan, Section 195, etc;
• Assistance in tax compliance for liaison office set up in India;
• Standardization & computerization of various process;
• Preparation of various checklist & manuals for the audit purpose.
He was the faculty member at the Bangalore Branch of SIRC of ICAI on Income Tax. He has also completed the first ever Faculty Training Program organized by ICAI for faculties at Allepy. He was also part of the first ever course on International Taxation organized by the ICAI. He was a faculty at Parasam Institute for vocational training &Gyann Coaching Institute. He has addressed various professionals' forums within the organization he was associated with and also outside the organization including study circle at the ICAI, Bangalore, Hubli & Davanagere. |
